Spring Days

We are happy we spent yesterday outside enjoying the weather, because today we've been singing "rain, rain, go away". Everything is in bloom & the azaleas look really pretty right now.
It has been awhile since Cooper made an appearance on here. He's enjoying us being outside and giving him some much needed attention as well!

10 Months

This was a big month for Ian, as he's now crawling and an entire new world has opened up for him. He has found he can get around pretty quickly now, which means he is usually right on his brother's heels & ready to play with whatever Filson is into. He finally conquered the 2 steps from our living room to the kitchen today, so it is time for us to get back into baby-proofing mode, as he will soon be into everything. He is eating really well & wants to do it all by himself now. I guess Mom & Dad just can't get it in his mouth quick enough. He loves the spoon, but as you would expect, the majority of the meal ends up on him, the chair, the floor or the walls. It was a great month as he was able to spend time with lots of family. The Gaddum's all visited us in Wilmington & we flew to Arizona to see the Roe family. He is a happy little guy!

On all Fours

Egg hunt during Toddler Tunes on Monday morning
That's a lot of candy for this guy's little tummy!
Our Farmer's Market opened yesterday & the boys & I checked it out & played at the playground with some friends. I then drove them downtown to meet John for lunch & we toured The Peacemaker, a tall ship that pulled into Wilmington for 2 weeks. It was so warm & the Azalea Festival was kicking off last night, so there was a lot of activity by the river. As we drove out of town we saw some of the belles all dressed up in their gowns & preparing for the events.

Up until now, I have been fortunate that the boys usually fall asleep easily & nap at the same time. However, for the 2nd time this week I have put them both down, only to hear giggling coming out of the monitor moments later. It appears Filson sits at the end of his bed & makes silly faces & baby talk to get his brother to laugh. Today I busted in with the camera & caught them in the act.
Looks like they are up to no good!
Ian finally made it up on all fours Friday & can now crawl around like a pro. He's already aware of all the places he shouldn't be & will race over to the stereo & just turn & grin, daring me to tell him "no"!

Easter Weekend

His cone was as big as his head, but he finished every last bite
The Egg-Hunters

Boo in his bunny shirt
Filson and his girl, Ella. She is a sweetheart!
Easter Morning, with a swollen right eye. It was fight with the toilet seat last night & he lost. You probably don't want to know any more details ; )
As I posted this, I began to remember that he had some scrape on him last Easter as well. I found this pic & his nose was all cut up on Easter Morning 09. Must be a rough holiday for him!
Loving the chocolate & goodies from Mimi!

Funny face in his cute new tee from BreAnn

After such a fun weekend in AZ, it was a very long week getting back into the swing of things. We all seemed to fall apart health-wise this week, but we finally got straightened out & back to getting (almost) full nights of sleep by Friday. Thankfully we had a very eventful 3-day weekend to look forward to & my cousin, BreAnn, coming in for a visit. John & I still aren't sure how we struck gold, but for the 2nd weekend in a row we had an offer to watch our kids so we could have a night out! We went to a concert & had an extremely good time just like the old days BC (before children). We hope that BreAnn knows how much we appreciate her help!
Saturday we hung out at the beach & grabbed ice cream before heading to our playgroup's Easter Egg Hunt. We then grabbed dinner at Dockside, as it was a gorgeous night to watch the boats go by. The boys were fortunate to have some awesome treats from Mimi this morning & Filson even got to wear his new swim trunks & shirt right away as he & John spent the afternoon out on the boat.
We had a great weekend & the boys were beat tonight from all the action. They'll miss all the attention when they have to get back to reality this week with just boring ol' Mama!
