Saturday we let the Birthday Boy choose what to do for the day. He didn't even have to think about it, he wanted to go out on the boat. This made John & I happy, as it's what we would prefer to do with our Saturday afternoon as well!! We had a great day & the boys were beat. We didn't even make it out for his pizza birthday dinner, as they crashed for the night shortly after we returned home.

Party Time

Friday morning we had a party for Filson at our house. I think everyone had a great time, although it was incredibly hot & humid. The kids didn't seem to mind! Filson loved having all his buddies over & they all had fun taking swings at the pinata.

Filson turned 3 on Saturday. It's amazing how much he has changed in the past year. We now have this little guy who we can have conversations with & who is always making us laugh. And of course, occasionally testing us until we want to pull our hair out!! He loves playing ball, racing his cars and playing on the beach. However, he did receive a geotrax train set for his birthday that has consumed most of his time since Saturday morning! I thought I was getting a steal for finding the whole set for $10, but after listening to the rattle of the trains for the past 24 hrs, I realize I would probably pay somebody twice that amount to take it away! Mimi gave him 2 new trains to go with it & he seems to love it, so I guess I'll put up with hearing trains in my sleep for a little while : ) He had a great weekend & loved getting to talk to all his family & skype his cousins. He thinks it's great that his cousins can instantly appear on "his puter"!

We had cute little Finn over last week & the boys all have fun playing together. He is Ian's age & will have a baby brother join him at the end of this year, so this 'hood will be full of trouble!!

We had a very fun weekend in Charleston with Mimi & The Haldrup's! We hadn't been since Christmas, so it was great to see everyone & watch the kids play together. We visited the aquarium, swam at the pool, and went to the waterfront park. The big cousins are SO GOOD to our little guys! Filson woke up from his nap today saying he wanted to go back to his cousin's house! All the kids are growing up so quickly & it was a lot of fun to get to spend a fun & relaxing weekend with them, and of course Aunt Kiki, Uncle Neil and Mimi, too!
