Strawberry Picking

Ian reading the morning paper this week. Not sure where he set his morning coffee ; )
I took the boys strawberry picking yesterday. They collected some big juicy ones & finished it off with a visit to the ice cream stand.
Not all of Boo's strawberries made it into his bucket!

Hangin' Out at Home

Ian on Sunday after returning from a boat ride with John & Filson
Trying to eat corn on the cob like the big boys
Grant has become aware of his surroundings this week & will spend long periods of time taking in the lights & sounds on his activity mat. His brothers like to crowd in & see what he's up to.

Our Silly Boo
Little Grant is certainly not lacking attention : )
He's also started smiling at us, but trying to capture that on camera was nearly impossible!

Spring Break

Our little Grant, who is 6 wks old today. The time is passing quickly! He's awake a lot more during the days & is starting to fall into a routine. Although part of that routine consists of still eating at least every 3hrs at night, so we're hoping he soon gets the memo that he needs to start stretching that out to about 5-6hrs ; )
Who would have thought spring break would be worth looking forward to considering our kids aren't even close to being in school yet? However, I've loved having a week off from Speech, Spanish & Soccer to not be on a schedule & move at our own pace (which is quite similar to a snail these days). The weather has been great so we've been at the park a couple of times & had some friends over to play yesterday. Now we're looking forward to enjoying a 3-day weekend with John home!
Below are pictures we took at the Air Show on Sunday. It was very impressive & a great day to spend outside.
John & the boys coming out of the Air Force jet
Much to our boys' delight, they threw in some monster truck rides just in case the airplanes weren't exciting enough!

Hunting Eggs

We went to a friend's house yesterday for an Easter Egg Hunt & picnic. The weather was perfect to be outside & the boys loved finding eggs. They were so into the 'hunt' that it was quite a while before they even discovered there were snacks inside the eggs!
Last night John & the boys helped me celebrate my birthday by bringing me flowers & a delicious cake. They made it a great day!!

Family Time

We took many shots of both these poses, and these were the best to come out of the bunch! I guess posing for pics doesn't rate up there as a fun activity for the little guys.
Last night John & I went out for dinner while the 3 boys stayed home with Mom & Dad. They spent so much time playing with the boys or taking them out so we could have free time. The boys loved every minute of it & we sure were sad to see them fly home today! We really enjoyed their visit & look forward to getting back to Iowa to see them again this summer.
Swinging with Papa this morning. It looks like he is having as much fun as the boys!

1 Month Old

Our little peanut is 1 month old today! He's been a good little guy that has been eating & sleeping very well. He's weighing in at around 9.5 lbs. His 2 big brothers still love to hold him & shower him with kisses. He has been lucky to have already met so much of his family in his first month & already made a fun road trip to Charleston! Many thanks to Donna for sending him his very own sock monkey! We're looking forward to watching him grow next to him over the next year!

Fun with Papa & Meme

Filson & Grant
Meme & the big boys headed to the circus

Really worn out after a day with Papa & Meme!
Filson wanted Papa to sleep on the top bunk in the boys' room, but Papa thought it would work better if Filson slept in their room! This has been his 'bed' since Friday night. He loves getting to watch a movie before bed every night.

Grandpa Steve & Grandma Nancy arrived Friday night & we've been playing hard ever since! We spent yesterday morning in Downtown Wilmington for the Azalea Festival & went to a birthday party in the afternoon. The circus is in town & the older brothers were lucky to have Grandpa & Grandma to take them this afternoon. They must have had a great time, as they came home worn out!
