Long Weekend

Our 3 monkeys squeezed onto the baby playmat
Shaving with Dad last weekend
Filson in swimming lessons this morning. This is his second week & he has loved them & is so worn out when they are over! Above he swims between his 2 instructors & below he practices the back float.
Ian having some laughs with John
Little Grant is keeping up with his big brothers. We spent Saturday & Sunday out on the boat for a good part of the day & he was a trooper both days. He slept awesome both nights, going around 10 hr stretches between feedings. Not sure if he's getting on a new schedule for us or was just really beat from his days at the beach! He mastered the "roll-over" earlier in the week & loves to flip from back to tummy now.

Mimi's Visit

The boys & I were excited to have Mimi come & spend the day with us. She came with lots of goodies, one of the favorites being a new set of binoculars for Filson. He immediately headed outside to search for birds in the marsh & was excited for his Dad to get home so they could look for racoons tonight. This month we have seen foxes, racoons, frogs, turtles, deer & a turkey in our yard, so he should have plenty of wildlife to scope out. Unfortunately, Ian missed out on this picture, but he was so worn out that he had already been put down for a nap after falling asleep in Mimi's arms The boys had such a great time playing with her & I enjoyed our visit while the boys were entertained!
Little Explorers
John spent the week on the road & picked up this ride-on toy from a co-worker who was getting rid of it in Charlotte. He pulled it out when he returned home tonight & Ian was thrilled to discover it was just his size. I'm sure between this & the Gator there will be some races in our yard this weekend!

The Cunningham Girls

Donna has been in NC at the Cunningham's & they road-tripped down to Wilmington today to spend the afternoon with us. They watched the little guys while I took Filson to speech this afternoon & the rest of the day we spent playing outside. As always, it was great hanging out with Anna Leigh & Donna & it's fun to watch the kids play so well together!
The Newbies - Isla & Grant
She is 4 mths & full of smiles. Such a sweet girl & check out that amazing head of hair!
Little Grant
Filson lovin' on Vada
What have we gotten ourselves into? In less than 4 years, we've amassed 5 little munchkins between us. We still manage to run our mouths non-stop when we're together, our conversations just have a few more interruptions these days!
They must have been really worn out, because they actually all sat still for a couple of minutes.
at least I have Isla's attention : )

The Boys

The boys wanted to hold Grant today & I thought what a great chance to snap some pics...
Then Grant began to look like he was frightened...
And finally decided he had enough of this photo shoot....

Fun times with BreAnn

Filson is in a red shirt in the center
Saturday was the last soccer game of the season and the league put on a festival for the kids. The boys had fun getting their faces painted & jumping in the bounce castle after the soccer game.
Ian watching his big brother play
My cousin, BreAnn, came from Charlotte to spend the weekend with us. The boys had so much fun playing with her & John & I really enjoyed the extra help with the boys. And when they finally crashed last night, we got to enjoy a nice evening catching up! We so appreciate her coming to visit & all the help she gave us!
Playing in the sand at Wrightsville Beach this afternoon.
BreAnn taking the boys to dip their toes in the ocean.
We love Grant's baby blue eyes & are hoping they stay this color like his dad's!

2 Months Old

Grant turned 2 mths old yesterday and is changing every day. It is unbelievable how quickly these 2 mths have passed & to remember back to how 2 months with the first child seemed to last an eternity! We have been on the go, so he seems to spend most of his time in a sling or carrier. When he does get a chance to stretch out his legs he loves to smile for his big brothers & roll to his side, trying to build up those muscles to master the complete roll-over. He's still eating in the night, but goes back to sleep quickly & easily after he's filled his belly. He's filling out & is up to 12.5lbs. He stayed with our sitter one night last week as I left all the boys home for the first time. He did great & she said he watched his brothers non-stop, probably picking up all kinds of new tricks! We're having a lot of fun with three boys & couldn't have asked for a sweeter baby!

New Wheels

Filson said, "Look, ma, Puddles is the same size as Boo-G" before asking me to take a picture of them sleeping together
Not sure if he gets as much in his belly as he gets on himself. Maybe that's why he constantly wants to be eating. He seriously needs to be hosed down after most meals.
Filson was excited to receive a trophy Saturday morning for his spring soccer session.
We found a used John Deere Gator & gave it to the boys as an early combined birthday gift. I think between the 3 boys, they'll put plenty of miles on it just cruising around our yard.
Ian fastened his seat belt in case his brother didn't prove to be a good driver!
