Beach Week

Chief Boo
Fishing with our friends last weekend at the end of our street
This was a rare moment when all was calm. We had 8 little ones running around & it seemed more like a tornado going through most of the evening! We all had a lot of fun & the kids were beat by the end of the night.
2 wheels! One of the highlights of the week for Filson was learning to ride without training wheels. Our house was at the end of the street, so it was the ideal practice spot. He is so excited & ready to hit the road now!
Grant chillin on the front porch

Reece, Filson & Holden dipping their toes in on Friday
Ian dipped a little more than his toes!
Ahhhh.....a little sibling love between Garrett & Riley
Grant getting lots of love from Aunt Kiki & Riley

Looks like some very intense games of Foosball & Ping Pong!

We spent a very fun week at Wrightsville Beach! We lucked out with amazing weather in the 70s & sunny most of the week. We were on the beach to see the sunrise on our first morning, went for lots of walks, bike rides, many trips to the park, and had friends over for a cookout Sunday. We loved the location of our house, with a quick walk to the beach & a relaxing front porch with views of the sound. And the game room downstairs kept the boys entertained for days!
On Wednesday we were excited to have Mimi, The Clark's, The Haldrup's & The Leeder's arrive to spend Thanksgiving weekend with us. We had a great time catching up, eating delicious food & seeing all the cousins play together. We really appreciate all of them making the trip to visit & look forward to seeing everyone again soon!

8 Months Old

Sock Monkey's face looks like it may taste good ; )

Grant is 8 months old today. He has learned how to get all over the house now & can easily go up & down the 2 steps into our kitchen to chase after his brothers. He started pulling himself up and we find him on his feet holding on to toys, the bed, the coffee table, or anything he can get a grip on. His brothers still smother him with hugs & kisses & love to make him laugh. He's a typical 8 month old that is constantly in motion...I had forgotten how fun diaper changes are at this stage!

Kite Festival

Giving John some smiles

We have hardly had the camera out since my last post, and I am bummed that the pictures we did take (Trick or Treating) all came out blurry. We've been having fun, though. In the last couple of weeks we had a great visit from Uncle James who came & did an awesome job in the beach2battleship triathlon. We went on a hayride around our 'hood with our neighbors trick-or-treating. We also went to a few birthday parties for the boys' friends (fun) & a couple birthday parties for our friends without the boys (much more fun). Sunday we spent a nice fall day on the beach picking out our favorite kites at the festival. We have also spent the past week passing the fever/cough/congestion junk around our house, so hopefully will begin to recuperate this week. The older 2 asked to go upstairs & put their pajamas on at 6pm, so I know their little bodies were ready for some rest!
