Good Week

We started the week off with a birthday dance party for 2 of our little girlfriends. Filson is checking out the scene here, but he soon got right in on the action. Life is good for these 4 year olds!
I love this shot of Ian, he is dying to get his hands on one of those cupcakes!
A dab of drool on his chin, think he may finally be getting that bottom tooth in to even out his smile!
Our days usually begin with the construction of some sort of tunnel/fort in the toy room.
It was great that John only had to be out of town 1 night this week. When he got back this evening, we took the boys to the Ice House. They had never been on skates before, but Filson has been asking to go since hearing about one of his friends going. It's very close to our house & they were having public skating this evening, and the boys ended up loving it! Filson was a mess when he first stepped onto the ice, but after a few minutes we realized he could use a "sled" too & then he was good to go.
We were obviously newbies to the whole ice skating scene, as I had them dressed for the 70 degree weather we had today & didn't consider the fact that the rink would have to be COLD. They did enough laps that I think they finally forgot about the temperature & hopefully will sleep hard tonight!

An Apple A Day

Saturday was gorgeous, so the boys spent most of their day in the "woods".
Entertaining themselves at home this morning.

Hugs & Kisses

Our 3 little valentines
(and, yes, even after at least 5 minutes of taking pictures, this was the closest I could get to all 3 looking happily at the camera!)

11 Months Old

Grant hit the 11-month mark yesterday. He celebrated by going swimming last night & loved the pool. One of his favorite things is to get in the bathtub with his brothers, so I'm sure he'll enjoy the beach this summer. He is eating just about everything now & has a very healthy appetite! His big accomplishment this month has been standing unassisted. He doesn't go anywhere, yet, but will stand for quite awhile & will one of these days build up the courage to take that leap. Then we'll be in trouble!!

The Watsons in Wilmington

Papa Jay, Isla, Anna Leigh, Ian & that's Filson swimming away in the background
Happy little I.J. loved the water
Filson practicing his back float
Vada was clearly not happy that swim time was over for the night!
Little Boo-G sat and observed Thursday night, but pulled out his suit Friday night to see what he'd been missing out on.

Ian, Vada & Filson checking out groceries at the Children's Museum

It was such a treat to have the Watson's come to town! Jay & Donna have been visiting the Cunningham's in Raleigh & on Thursday they brought Isla down to Wilmington. They helped me with the boys in the afternoon, then Anna Leigh & Vada arrived in the evening & we headed to their hotel for pizza & swimming. The kids were little fish & would have spent the night in the pool if we would have let them.
We all met at the Children's Museum Friday morning. The two little ones crawled around in the toddler area while the big 3 became astronauts, artists, grocers, and a princess while exploring the other exhibits. We took a walk along the riverfront & had lunch downtown, which was surprisingly enjoyable considering we had 5 tired munchkins in our company ; )
We topped it all off with .... more swimming! The boys are so grateful to Jay & Donna for giving them a chance to swim & I am so grateful to them for wearing out the boys so that they slept like champions! We had a really fun visit & really appreciate them making the drive down to see us!

The Boys

Filson built this Sunday morning & decided it was his "stadium" for the Super Bowl game
With our 3 monkeys, there's never a dull moment!
