Our active little man

We have had perfect weather to be outside, which Filson has taken full advantage of. It was a long week with John not returning until last night, so we tried to stay as busy as we could. Thursday we met some friends for a picnic at the park. Our little guy was not at all interested in the "picnic" part as soon as he laid eyes on the slides. You can't really tell from the picture, but there is a tall tunnell slide on the opposite side of where he is standing. He took no time to discover how to climb up & come down that big slide by himself.
In the middle picture, he is holding his brown shoes as a sign he is ready to head outside. Even with other shoes on, he still thinks he has to bring these to me to get the point across that he wants to go. As if I don't already know that if he is awake & out of his crib, he wants to be out of the house!
Last night we went to story hour as one of Filson's favorite book characters, Maisy, was going to make an appearance. John returned to Wilmington as it was starting and was able to meet us there. Filson sat pretty well during the story, but surprised us by trembling & crying when Maisy appeared. Who knew the kid with no fear on the playground would be frightened by a big mouse costume!
Hope you all enjoy the weekend!

I love the photo of him holding his shoes! Cute. Our boys are so much alike! Porter does that, too and he LOVES slides....something Stella didn't like at that age!

The chairs are cute at your library!! I don't blame Filson for being afraid of a big mouse!!!1
