It is hard to believe that we have already been in Iowa for over a week. The time has flown by as we have been BUSY!! The boys & I flew to Kansas City last Wednesday morning and the flight went pretty well, considering I was travelling with 2 little ones extremely early in the morning. Filson thought it was pretty neat to have his own seat.
Kayren, Stella & Porter were down to visit on Thursday & on Friday Sara, Hannah & Haydn came down. Vada was also in town staying with Nana & Papa, so we were able to play with all 5 Watson grandkids over the weekend. Thursday night Aunt Ann came out for a visit & Friday we were able to see Uncle Dan & Aunt Marla Kay & Aunt Brenda & Uncle Pat at a reunion of my Dad's cousins. Saturday we road tripped to a festival at Honey Creek Resort on Lake Rathbun. We really enjoyed checking out the old cars and listening to the live music on a gorgeous day. Sunday Dad & I took the boys to the farm where we visited the miniature ponies & checked out the big farm equipment. One of the ponies had just given birth Saturday night, so we saw a brand new baby, along with a 1 month old, some 4 month olds, and one pony that was 30 years old. My cousin's grandparents, Donald & Helen, have around 35 miniature ponies & Filson really enjoyed getting to see them & getting to hop up on Uncle Pat's big tractors. We spent Monday afternoon at Grandma Beymer's where Filson loved playing & looking at her snow globes. On Wednesday, my college roommate Kelly & her daughter, Harper, came up from Kansas City to spend the day with us. Harper is 10 months old & is such a cutie! Filson enjoyed having her here to play with. We have seen lots of friends & have been enjoying the gorgeous weather at the playground and walking around town.
Here are a few pictures that Grandpa has taken. I'm not able to load my pictures here, so I'll have many more pictures to post when I return. We have a lot more on the schedule for the coming week & are looking forward to seeing more friends & family. We are having a great time, but we sure do miss Dad & wish he could be here to join in on all the fun!!

Sounds like you are having a great time with the boys in Iowa and keeping very busy. And very brave for flying by yourself with two little ones!
