Grant & I took off for Iowa on Friday to a rough start of delayed flights & lots of extra time in the airport. However, it was actually kind of fun getting to spend some time alone with my "baby" & the flying part went pretty smoothly. Here he is being a ham during dinner at the airport in Atlanta.
Once in Iowa, he was passed off to Papa & Meme for a weekend of spoiling ; )

Thanks to Mom & Dad, Grant was being showered with attention & I spent my weekend laughing, reminiscing with old friends & waking up to the incredible peacefulness at the lake : )
Our flight home was delayed, leaving us stranded for a night in Des Moines, but Grant was happy to get a few more hours with Papa & Meme. Here he is giving one last big hug before they headed back to Mt. Ayr Sunday night.
We missed John & the big boys, but are pretty sure they had plenty of fun while we were gone. They were both so proud to show me the front porch that they helped their Dad clean & to tell me about the fish they caught!

I have been stalking your blog...waiting for your IA post. Wish I knew you were in DM. would of drove to see you!! Bummer your flight was delayed though!! Looks like Grant and you had a good time in IA!
So good to see u, even fora short time. Know u had a great time while here. And Grant some "special time" with your folks. Felt horrible for u when I heard about your flight delay. Oh, the joys of traveling! Love the pic of Filson and Ian cleaning the porch!
So bummed we weren't able to see you when you were in Iowa! Looks like Grant was spoiled by your parents! How fun!! Sounds like you had a rockin' time in Ringgold,as well!! :)
