18 Months

Hard to believe, but Filson hit 18 mths today. It is crazy to stop and think about how much he has changed in that time. We headed to the Cape Fear Railway Club show & sale this morning. They had 2 large train tracks set up & lots of train accessories for sale. All the guys that do this for a hobby are so passionate about it & it is neat to see all the details in the scenery. Filson was of course fascinated to watch them go around & around the tracks.
Many of you may be shocked to see the tv (complete with bunny ear antennas) in the background of the last pictures. Yes, that is our house & we actually now own a tv. We have a couple of uncles who were concerned about Filson growing up in a tv-less home, but they will have to worry no more!! Believe it or not, it is actually John that is excited about this. For those of you that don't know him well, I think in the 5 years I've known him, I've maybe seen him watch a total of 5 hrs of tv. But we returned from our week in Iowa, and suddenly John was checking out all the tv ads. My Dad, who practically has his own private movie theater in his basement, had John down there watching Blu-ray movies with surround sound almost every night and I guess John found it impressive! Filson is already intrigued by it, I'm sure he'll flip to be able to watch Sesame Street on the big screen Monday morning.

That is such a good picture of Filson in the carseat! The past 18months have gone by so quickly...it has been such a joy watching Filson grow and develop! It's been especially fun since he and Kinsie are only one week apart in age!

Too funny! I didn't know you guys didn't have a tv. That's crazy.
And Filson is 18 months! Not possible. And how is that other bambino? You should post a picture of yourself. I'd love to see your belly.

Hub-a-hub-a!!! Welcome to the 21st century with your flat screen!! It really looks nice. I, too, wondered about Filson not bothering the wine bottles!! Can't believe he is 18 months old! Crazy!
